On January 29 at 16:00, we invite you to the presentation of the new issue of the Monitoring of the Implementation of the IMF Program and EU Macro-Financial Assistance by the #RRR4U consortium.
In December, the International Monetary Fund approved the results of the second review of the financing program for Ukraine, noting significant progress in fulfilling obligations under wartime conditions. It also provided a new list of structural benchmarks for 2024, including changes related to the independence of anti-corruption policy, the restart of the Bureau of Economic Security, and optimization of the budget and banking sector.
This review allowed Ukraine to receive the third tranche of support, amounting to approximately $900 million.
Additionally, on February 1, an extraordinary meeting of the European Council will take place. At this summit, EU leaders will consider a new four-year support program, Ukraine Facility, worth 50 billion euros.
The successful fulfillment of obligations (EU) and structural benchmarks (IMF) is crucial for Ukraine to receive further financial support, which is critically important in wartime conditions. Their fulfillment is a signal of implementing reforms and changes for macroeconomic stability, which our partners expect from us.
Learn during the presentation:
- What Ukraine needs to accomplish before the third assessment of the IMF program in spring?
- How are we progressing with meeting deadlines?
- Will the fulfillment of obligations in 2023 affect the continuation of EU macro-financial assistance?

Quarterly releases will also contain a more in-depth analysis of a specific aspect of programs with international partners. You can familiarize yourself with the results of the first Monitoring at the following link: https://bit.ly/3tZcjEI.
