What do we do and how do we work?

We promote a fair, green and people-centred economic recovery in Ukraine.

To this end, we analyse policy, engage in advocacy, and conduct dialogue with researchers, private business, civil society, and government.

Our goals

  • Providing research and expert advice to the Ukrainian government, the private sector, the international community (international financial institutions, multilateral institutions, the EU, etc.) and civil society on economic needs, opportunities and preferred options for ensuring economic sustainability and recovery of Ukraine
  • Promote the development, implementation and evaluation of financial policies aimed at economic recovery and sustainability of Ukraine’s economy
  • Promote the active participation of Ukrainian civil society in the development and implementation of recovery policies
  • Raising public awareness of the economic situation in Ukraine and cooperation with international partners in the field of resilience and recovery of the national economy
  • Identifying opportunities for the private sector to be a key partner in the process of ensuring the recovery and sustainability of the Ukrainian economy
  • Promoting legal and policy reforms to create conditions for successful socio-economic development of Ukraine

Our principles

  1. Urgency: resilience and recovery measures should be initiated immediately
  2. Transparency and accountability: public disclosure of relevant plans and information, effective monitoring of resilience and recovery measures, and availability of complaint and suggestion mechanisms
  3. People-centred approach: unconditional respect for human rights, inclusiveness, broad stakeholder participation, maximum proximity of decision-making to affected populations
  4. Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals as a policy priority: “build back better” approach
  5. The guilty party must pay: the policy priority is to finance the reconstruction from the assets of the Russian state and oligarchs
  6. Fundamental principles of policy: compliance with the principles of international law and focus on EU membership
  7. Ensuring long-term economic stability: ensuring debt sustainability, favouring grants over loans, ensuring access to markets, attracting foreign direct investment
