Monitoring for January 2024&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On January 29 at 16:00, we invite you to the presentation of the new issue of the Monitoring of the Implementation of the IMF Program and EU Macro-Financial Assistance by the #RRR4U consortium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December, the International Monetary Fund approved the results of the second review of the financing program for Ukraine, noting significant progress in fulfilling obligations under wartime conditions. It also provided a new list of structural benchmarks for 2024, including changes related to the independence of anti-corruption policy, the restart of the Bureau of Economic Security, and optimization of the budget and banking sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This review allowed Ukraine to receive the third tranche of support, amounting to approximately $900 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, on February 1, an extraordinary meeting of the European Council will take place. At this summit, EU leaders will consider a new four-year support program, Ukraine Facility, worth 50 billion euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful fulfillment of obligations (EU) and structural benchmarks (IMF) is crucial for Ukraine to receive further financial support, which is critically important in wartime conditions. Their fulfillment is a signal of implementing reforms and changes for macroeconomic stability, which our partners expect from us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn during the presentation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>What Ukraine needs to accomplish before the third assessment of the IMF program in spring?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How are we progressing with meeting deadlines?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will the fulfillment of obligations in 2023 affect the continuation of EU macro-financial assistance?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Registration is available at the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/48X8ZsG\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/48X8ZsG<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will take place in an online format on Zoom and will be broadcast on Facebook. Languages: Ukrainian\/English (with simultaneous translation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To actively engage the public and raise awareness about cooperation with key international partners, the RRR4U Consortium will release a monthly Monitoring of Ukraine&#8217;s compliance with the conditions of key international financing programs from the IMF and the EU. Quarterly releases will also contain a more in-depth analysis of a specific aspect of programs with international partners.
